These Terms govern your use of VeroSMS. Please read them before you use it.
Acceptance of these terms
By using VeroSMS, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use it.
What VeroSMS is, and what it is not
VeroSMS is software that sends SMS through Android handsets and SIM cards that you own and control. It is a tool you use to operate your own messaging.
It is not a mobile network operator and not an SMS aggregator. It does not carry or deliver a single message itself — every message is handed to your own mobile operator by your own phone, and whether it arrives is a matter between you, that operator and the recipient's network.
Your account, your keys and your phones
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details, your interface keys and your paired handsets secure.
Anyone holding a key can send from your SIM, at your cost, in your name. A key is revoked from the panel the moment you suspect somebody else has seen it, and a phone can be unpaired just as quickly. Treat a lost or stolen paired handset as a credential to revoke, not only as a lost phone.
What you send, and to whom
You are solely responsible for what you send, to whom, and whether you were entitled to send it.
That includes obtaining consent where the law requires it, honouring an opt-out promptly and permanently, respecting quiet hours and marketing rules where you and your recipients are, identifying yourself as the sender, and complying with your mobile operator's own acceptable-use and fair-use terms.
Bulk or automated messaging may breach the terms of an ordinary consumer mobile contract even where it breaks no law. Checking that before you start is your responsibility, not ours.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use VeroSMS to send unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or unsolicited messages; to impersonate another person or business; to send anything designed to mislead a recipient into parting with money, credentials or personal information; to harass anybody; or to attempt to disrupt this installation or gain access to it, or to the data it holds, without authorisation.
What it costs to send
Every message is carried by your own mobile operator and charged by them at whatever rate applies to that SIM. VeroSMS adds nothing per message and collects nothing on their behalf. Your bill is between you and your operator.
Availability
This installation runs on hardware and connections we do not guarantee to be available at any particular moment. A phone that is switched off, out of coverage or out of credit does not send, and the software cannot make it. Nothing here is a promise of uptime or of delivery within any period.
Your data
Your contacts, your message history and your delivery records sit in a database on your own server. You can export them or delete them at any time, and nothing about closing this site down puts them out of your reach.
Limitation of liability
The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Message delivery depends on your handset, your SIM, your operator and the recipient's network, none of which are under our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeroSMS is not liable for undelivered, delayed or misdirected messages, for the cost of messages sent, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and continuing to use VeroSMS after a change means you accept it.
